The Team consists of surgeons, cardiologists, nurses and perfusionists. This was their sixteenth trip to Guayaquil to provide evaluations and treatment for children of Ecuador who are born with heart defects. This year they only sent one team, which was directed by pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. John L. Myers and pediatric cardiologists, Dr. Steven Cyran and Dr. L. Timothy Wolfe.

Dr. Myers was able to assist with 13 operations, including 11 open heart procedures.  The patient’s age ranged from 2 days to 10 years.
