Plasticos Foundation under the direction of Dr. Larry Nichter and Dr. Robert Burns traveled to Laos in January and operated on 97 patients performing a total of 121 procedures. They primarily treated burn victims and patients who suffered from disfigurement or other deformities. Of those 97 patients, 87 were children. While there, they also were able to train 4 surgeons, and 2 anesthesiologists and several nurses.
